I would be interested to know how you (Rachel) and others feel this notion plays out realistically in social media creative's world. Whilst I know that my best ideas come when I'm not online, and absorbing references and quiet time outside the digital realm (simply resting my eyes/ brain), mantaining social media fluency requires a certain (ie. large) amount of time spent online. Would love to hear your thoughts on achieving the optimum balance!
My favorite duo is a very online social media person (usually me) paired with a somewhat offline creative (filmmaker, designer, etc). That way we can sort of push and pull each other.
Finally treated myself to a paid subscription and this was worth every discontinued penny!! Genuinely got so much out of this - took a page of notes - and leaving with some very actionable takeaways. Thank you!!
“We used to try participating in TikTok trends. My theory though is that why would you even want that to be the content that goes viral? Because it’s probably not the best representation of your brand. And is that what you want people to remember?”
I loved the closing part about resonance! so true as we enter this new era of the digital world. thank you for this. your posts hit home as alwaysss <3
I want to remember this line - "The best creatives I talk to are often the ones scrolling the least." I needed to read this!
yes!!!

This is such a good quote:

Fun to see Pufferfish's content with Airlearn mentioned here - I think they're doing an exceptional job making a brand that can compete with Duo.
I sent this TT to all my clients: https://www.tiktok.com/@airlearn.app/video/7613471164643495176
'ribald' - good to be reminded of this excellent word

I loved the Drop Everything campaigns. I live for brand spontaneity 🥳
same. kudos to those teams for getting it too!
Also if TikTok is dying what is replacing it?
I’m voting FB or YouTube 👀 (mainly YouTube though)
maybe next quarter's data will tell us...
